WSU Kindermusik Program
Kindermusik for Young Children
Kindermusik is a very unique music program designed by early childhood specialists to provide creative, fun, and meaningful music-learning experiences for young children at specific ages and development. Kindermusik educators believe in a "holistic" approach to child development. Kindermusik program encourages and fosters children's development in movement, coordination, language, critical thinking, and social skills through a complete musical experience.
"Imagine That", for children ages 3 and 1/2 to 5, and "Kindermusik for the Young Child I", for children ages 5 to 7, will be offered at the WSU Piano Preparatory Program in Fall, 2014. In these classes, children learn to sing, move, chant, draw pictures with music, play simple instruments, read and write elementary music notation, experiment with early ensemble experience, and listen to music in a meaningful way.
Student Admission Policy:
There will be openings for a maximum of 12 students in the "Kindermusik for the Young Child I". In addition, a maximum of 10 students will be accepted in the "Imagine That" class on a first-come first-serve basis for the Fall Semester.
