 Credit Hours: Three.  Three hours of lecture per week.

 Example Text: An Introduction to Modern Astrophysics by Carroll and Ostlie

 Topics Covered: The Celestial Sphere.  Celestial Mechanics.  Light and its interaction with matter.  Stellar classification.  Stellar atmospheres and interiors.  The Sun.   Stellar formation and evolution.  Stellar pulsation.  Black holes.

 Skills Emphasized: General problem solving.  Application of concepts from 2210/2220 to complex problems.
