SI system of units. Vectors and
Scalars Kinematics in one and two
dimensions. Newton's
Laws. Conservation laws of energy, Momentum and Angular momentum, Mechanical
waves, Thermodynamics. Second semester: Electricity and Magnetism, Electromagnetic
waves, Light and Optics, Nuclear Physics
Selected topics from modern physics.
Skills
Emphasized: General problem solving. Using
algebra and trigonometry to describe physical situations.
Visualizing physical systems and interactions.
