Assistant Music Professor
Carey Campbell is Assistant Professor of Music at Weber State University, where he teaches courses in music history and maintains the horn studio.
Carey's main research interest is historical performance practice of eighteenth-century concertos, specifically the role of the soloist during tutti sections. He also maintains an avid interest in popular music, especially as it intersects with marketing strategies and subcultural identity formation.
Carey's publications have appeared in Performance Practice Review, Eighteenth-Century Music, and Early Music, and he is a contributor to Musicians and Composers of the Twentieth Century.
