This is the trip of the season, phenominal snow, endless vert, and 2 nights at the yurt. Bloomington Canyon boasts incredible ski and Splitboard terrain, and the back country Yurt is the perfect way to access and experience it. The new yurt sleeps up to 12 participants and is fully equipped with a large wood stove to keep you warm, cooking equipment, and bunk beds. This trip is for participants with little to no back country Telemark, AT, or Split board experience. Participants will be given instruction related to travel techniques, and Avi awareness. Participants will be required to have Avalanche equipment. (Avi equipment is available at the OP please request if needed) The yurt sits at an elevation of 7619 ft and is 7 miles from the Bloomington Canyon trail head. From the trail head it is a 1600 ft vertical gain to the yurt. The trail is groomed year round but is dependent upon snow fall. This trip requires participants to be in good physical condition. Please call for additional information. If you have ever wanted to break into the sport of back country skiing or split boarding this is your chance!
