Dr. Walter C. Swanson Scholarship
The Nontraditional Student Center is entrusted with the allocation of the Dr. Walter C. Swanson scholarship. This scholarship is available due to generous donations from the Walter C. Swanson foundation in honor of Dr. Swanson who was an Ogden Podiatrist who graduated from Weber College in 1917. Depending on the foundation and the amount of applications turned in each year will determine how many students will receive funding. To print an application for the Walter C. A.  Eligibility Requirements:

1. Be a nontraditional student (25 years of age or older).
2. Be a current full-time (12 or more credits) WSU undergraduate student.
3. Have attended full time during two of the past three semesters.
4. Have a demonstrated financial need.
5. Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

B.  Application Requirements:

1. The completed application, signed.
2. An unofficial copy of your transcripts.
3. Two (2) letters of recommendation from academic or work settings which address your: a. accomplishments, b. character, and c. determination
4. A signed, personal letter to help the committee get to know you, stating: a. your academic accomplishments, b. your career goals, c. barriers you have overcome to get your education, and d. your financial need.

C. To Apply:

1. Bring application packet to the Nontraditional Student Center, SU 322.
2. Mail to: Nontraditional Student Center, Weber State University, 2128 University Circle, Ogden, Utah 84408-2128.

2. It is the responsibility of the student to make sure all materials have been received.
