Anti-Discrimination

Anti-Discrimination. WSU is required to comply with state and federal anti-discrimination laws, which includes incorporation of the following clause in service contracts.

Consistent with University’s policies, in connection with the performance of work under this Agreement, parties hereby agree not to discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, or veteran’s status, status with regard to public assistance, disability or age. This provision will include, but not be limited to, the following: employment, upgrading, promotion, demotion, transfer, recruitment advertising, lay off, termination, rates of pay or other forms of compensation, and selection for training, including apprenticeship. Parties agree to take affirmative action to insure equal employment opportunities. Parties agrees to comply with the provisions of the Utah Antidiscrimination Act, Utah Code Ann. § 34A-5-101, et. seq, and all aspects of the ADA and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
