Program of Interior Design
WSU’s Program of Interior Design, within the Department of Professional Sales, gives you the opportunity to foster your creativity while providing current technical background needed to be competitive in the design industry.
Why Choose Interior Design?
Our curriculum is enhanced with practical experience, internships, service learning, studio courses, field trips and study abroad experiences.
The program features online and live lecture courses.
Upon completion of the program, you will be prepared to enter a design-build network of professions within the design industry and be familiar with the content of professional licensure and certification exams, such as NCIDQ and LEED GA.
What You’ll Learn
Our programs teach you how to enhance the quality and function of interior spaces while protecting the health,
safety and welfare of the public. Our curriculum also covers concepts of residential, commercial, hospitality,
healthcare and professional selling, preparing you with exceptional presentation and technical sales skills.
Declare your major
The practice of interior design has become complex, technical and demanding. Our Bachelor of Science program provides you with the technical design and sales skills necessary to compete in the profession.
Our associate’s degree provides you with a base knowledge of interior design, which you can build on while you’re earning your Bachelor of Science in Interior Design – Professional Sales.
In this program, you’ll learn design skills to complement your major. Interior Design minors often major in construction management technology, design engineering technology, professional sales and various art majors.
Interior Design is an emphasis in WSU’s Bachelor of Integrated Studies program, which allows you to select 3 areas of focus and work out a contract of courses with departments of your choice.
