HEALTHCARE CODING CERTIFICATE
Learn to code outpatient and inpatient healthcare services using the ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT coding systems. This 10-course program qualifies you to take the Certified Coding Associate (CCA®) exam. Courses can be completed online or in class. No previous college experience necessary.
Get the training you need for a lifelong career without traveling to campus.
The Certificate of Proficiency can be obtained in 4 semesters using the recommended curriculum schedule (below). Contact the department at 801-626-7242 or the Health Care Coding Program Coordinator (Darcy Carter) at 801-626-7549 for advisement appointments.
You will need to complete a background check, drug screen, and proof of immunizations before your PPE courses (HIM 2861 and 2862) and your internship (HAS 4860).
