Summer Program

If you’re accepted into the HCOP Summer Program, you’ll get a daily stipend for attending classes. (Pay can be adjusted if you’re absent, late to class or don’t follow other rules.)

The summer program is held at Weber State University. Only 30 students already participating HCOP program get in. If you’re accepted, you’ll attend classes in:
  • Math
  • English
  • Science
  • Health science
  • Cultural competency
  • College survival skills
You’ll also participate in daily tutorials with WSU professors, get hands-on experience in lab activities, discuss health issues as a member of a small group, attend financial aid workshops and go on field trips to local health-care facilities and other cool places like the cadaver lab.

And since one of HCOP’s goals is to make sure you attend college after high school, our professors and counselors will make sure you have all the information you need to do that, including financial aid instruction and support and academic counseling.
