Alesha: management information systemsALESHA JONES
Management Information Systems

I grew up in Utah in North Ogden. I have an older brother and two younger step brothers. My oldest brother lives in Washington State and my mom, step dad and step brothers all live in Michigan. I currently work for a staffing company here in Ogden doing payroll. I have been with this company for almost 6 years.

WHY WEBER?

I chose Weber State because of the convenience of the location, and for the lower tuition cost. My older brother attended Weber State as well so it was also familiar.

WHY MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS?

I decided on my Major being in Management Information Systems when I was sitting in an intro class with Professor Boyle. I found it intriguing, challenging, and something I had a strong desire to learn more about. I sat in Professor Boyle's office discussing career options in this field, and more about it. I changed my major that same day.

ADVICE

It is completely fine to not be certain on what you're wanting to go into. Its okay to change your major a few times to find the fit for you. Take chances on new professors, and classes that might be a little intimidating. You may find something that catches your interest when you didn't even know that it would.
