Scholarships and Financial Aid

Departmental Honors - Geography

Funding for your geography studies at WSU can be found from numerous sources. These include university-level scholarships and financial aid, as well as funds provided specifically by the Geography Department for Geography majors.

University-level Funding
Every year, Weber State University gives more than $6 million in scholarships. This money often comes in the form of tuition waivers. The application deadline for all scholarships is the second Monday in January each year. Check the WSU Scholarship Office Web site for more details.

Financial aid is also available in the form of state and federal grants and loans. Check the WSU Financial Aid Office Web site for more details.

Geography Department Scholarships
The Geography Department offers funds through the Alumni Scholarship and the Anna J. Lang Scholarship for Future Geography Teachers. Students who complete the scholarship application through the Scholarship Office are eligible for Department scholarships as well as University-level scholarships. For more information, contact the Geography Department at (801) 626-6207.
