State University is partnering with the Ogden City Schools' GEAR UP
program: Own Your Future that will serve 900 students in the four High School's-Ogden High, GWHS, Ben Lomond High, and Da Vinci-and to provide college readiness
services to a cohort of students and follow them from 7th through 12th
grade.

Welcome back for another spectacular school year! On behalf of the staff and supporters of the GEAR UP (GU) program, it is our pleasure to be working with you and your family as you embark on another milestone..attending High School.Whether you are a new or continuing student with our program, it is our goal to help make this an exciting and rewarding year for you as set personal, academic, and attendance goals and work to achieve them. Our GEAR UP Motto is “Own Your Future.”Each of you has the opportunity to do just that.We will support you by providing many learning opportunities including workshops on career exploration, leadership and team building, tutoring services, cultural awareness, field trips to colleges and universities, and a listening ear.There is a GU Advisor at each school so make sure you stop in and meet them!Betty Sawyer, WSU, GU Partnership Coordinator
