To complete your background check for the Teacher Education Program, please follow these instructions
2. Select INITIAL LICENSURE and click continue STEP
BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS: b) If your information is not found, click on create new record (you should be new to the system. If you are renewing your background check, verify and correct any information on the screen. c) Enter in all of your information (no abbreviations) and be sure to include an email address and select WSU in the university drop down box, click continue. This is where you want your background check information sent to. d) The next page shows your record information; verify that it is all correct, click the box at the bottom agreeing to the terms of usage, and click continue. e) The background check requirements page provides information about how to complete the fingerprints. YOU MUST CLICK LIVESCAN at the bottom of the page, the card submission is not an option. Click continue. f) The next page is the release form, type YES in the box and click continue. g) On the additional questions page choose the appropriate response for your situation and click on the verification box and click continue. NOTE that if you have to respond YES to either question, you will not be allowed to continue in the online system and you must complete a paper application and submit a written statement about the situation. h) The summary fee page shows the amount that you will be charged for the application, click continue. i) Enter your payment information and continue. j) Print out the copy of your
receipt and download the pdf file. YOU
MUST PRINT these pages. Keep the receipt
for your records and bring the authorization letter with you to the live scan
fingerprinting office. |
