What You’ll Learn

Computer engineers use computer hardware and software to solve engineering problems. They are trained in computer architecture, embedded systems, software design, data structures, hardware interfacing and hardware/software integration.

The Computer Engineering program offers courses in basic circuitry,  microelectronics, embedded systems, algorithms, data structures and signal processing.  An internship, which gives students engineering work experience, is also a part of the program.

The faculty who teach Electrical Engineering courses hold advanced degrees in the engineering specialties they teach.

Computer Engineering Salaries

The salaries for graduates with a computer engineering degree in the Provo/Orem metro area in 2016 were:

Starting:  $76,820
Median:  $90,900
Highest: $146,290
