Subject: HILL AIR FORCE BASE SCIENTIST AND ENGINEER INTERNSHIP NEW

ANNOUNCEMENT 1 May - 3 May ONLY!!!

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD TO STUDENTS IN ENGINEERING, COMPUTER SCIENCE,

PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY AND MATH:

AIR FORCE MADE LEGAL ERROR IN LAST MONTH'S NATIONWIDE ANNOUNCEMENT FOR

SCIENTIST AND ENGINEER INTERNS, AND

STUDENTS MUST REAPPLY BETWEEN WEDS, 1 MAY AND FRIDAY, 3 MAY TO BE

CONSIDERED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The NEW announcements for Engineering and Science Pathways Internships

(Occupational Series:  0899, Engineer; 1399, Physicist; 1399 Chemist; and

1599, Computer Scientist) will be posted at
https://www.usajobs.gov/ on

Weds, 1 May and will close on Fri, 3 May.   I will send out the hyperlinks

to the announcements when they are posted tomorrow, but they can easily be

found by entering "pathways" in the "what" search block and "Utah" in the

"Where" search block on the USAJOBS homepage.  This will bring up all intern

opportunities currently available in Utah.  Announcements are only on the

USAJOBS website during the period that they are open, so they are not

showing yet.

Anyone interested in applying for a science or engineering internship at

Hill AFB should apply to these announcements. The postings will be for

multiple bases, so specify your interest in Hill AFB.   I also recommend

that you contact the lead recruiter for engineers and scientists at Hill

AFB, Jim Seely,
james.seely@hill.af.mil  so that you can be placed on his

mailing list.  Message below has all of Jim's contact info.

We are looking to fill up to 15 internship vacancies for students majoring

in electrical or computer engineering. We will also be hiring mechanical,

aerospace, and other engineering majors in smaller numbers. We will be

hiring 15 computer scientists and 10 scientists in other disciplines.

Eligibility requirements will be described in the USAJOBS.gov announcement

and include having at least a 2.5 GPA.

These internships are normally for the Summer, however they can also be for

Fall or Spring, or part-time all year. You would normally be hired as a

GS-04 ($13.41/hr) for the first year, and then promoted to a GS-05

($15.00/hr) the next year.

There is no obligation of employment following an internship, however we

normally place nearly 100% of our interns.

PLEASE READ THE ANNOUNCEMENT CAREFULLY AND FILL OUT THE APPLICATION

COMPLETELY. Applications are processed at Randolph AFB in Texas, but

employment is at Hill AFB in Utah. YOU MAY NOT SUBMIT RESUMES OR

APPLICATIONS IN ANY OTHER WAY than through USAJOBS.gov announcements.

Benefits include: Annual/Sick/Physical Fitness Leave, Paid Holidays, and

Health and Life Insurance.  Tuition is not paid.

Students,

I hope you are still reading your e-mail :-) Due to a problem out of their control, you will need to re-apply for these positions. Mr Seely was kind enough to send this out again & give us a little notice. If you do not know about this program at HAFB, it is such a great opportunity, you get paid very well and will be on basically a career path for full-time permanent positions on a much higher GS scale than if you were just to hire in directly without the "Pathways" program.

I am including Mr. Seely's e-mail, please read & follow his instructions exactly so you can be considered.

Subject: Engineering Internships at Hill AFB - New Job Announcement

Regrettably, the announcement last month for engineering PathwaysInternships at Hill AFB in usajobs.gov contained errors and has been ruled invalid.

A new announcement is scheduled to be posted on Wednesday, 1 May 2013 (day after tomorrow) and will be open for only 3 days. Those who previously applied will have to reapply along with any new applicants.

I apologize for this situation, as it will delay your employment. We alsorealize that most students are either already out of school, or will beshortly, and have been waiting for our job offers. Many cannot affordfurther delays, however it is a legal issue that is entirely out of ourcontrol. If you desire an engineering internship please apply this week to the new announcement.

You can also now follow me on Twitter and I will try to post status on aregular basis. Search for "Hill AFB Eng Hiring".

KEE Engineering & Consulting

My name is Jeff Barlow and I am the office manager of KEE Engineering & Consulting. We are currently looking for some help in filling a position within our Firm. We know that graduation is coming soon and hopefully we are not too late. We are looking for someone that is bright, quick learner and eager to grow and continue their learning and training. We are an electrical engineering firm that works mostly in the Industrial arena. We are looking for someone that is interested in this type of electrical engineering. I know that it is much different than the semiconductor and electrical end of engineering. We work a lot with automation, power, controls, programing in the industrial area. It is very exciting work and is always developing and growing so we are continually learning and expanding our knowledge. If you have any questions about what we are looking for feel free to contact me to discuss it further. We would love to talk to any students that you have that may be interested in this type of electrical engineering.

Thanks,

Jeff Barlow
