The Employee Wellness Program can put you in touch with a number of resources. If you are unable to find a resource meets your needs on this site, or if you have a special request, please contact our office for additional assistance. WSU Campus Resources BASICS, Sports Medicine, Inc. is a service of Weber State University's Health Promotion and Human Performance Center offering the following: Physical Therapy, Speed/Power/Agility Training, Gait Analysis, Injury Prevention Programs, Personal Training/General Conditioning, Sport Specific Programs, and Free Sports Injury Evaluations. Please call for details and cost. Academic Courses offer numerous wellness opportunities through Art, Dance, Health, Nutrition, and Physical Education. As a full-time employee you may register for six credit hours/semester at no charge. Campus Recreation satisfies sports, fitness, and recreational needs on campus. They offer a variety of programs, services, and classes. Visit this site for pool and group fitness schedules. Child Care Resource & Referral offer free child care referrals, free information on choosing quality care, and free information on child development. They serve Davis, Weber and Morgan counties. Children's School offers childcare to Weber State's faculty and staff, for children aged two to five. They also offer preschool for children three to four, and toddler's lab for children fourteen to thirty months of age. Counseling & Psychological Services Center offers group meditation and relaxation sessions in addition to their individual services. Clubs & Organizations offer numerous opportunities for involvement in wellness activities including bowling, cycling, and martial arts to name a few. Dental Hygiene Department is located in the Marriott Health Building, and offers services to faculty and staff at a nominal fee. They offer cleanings and x-rays. Environmental Health & Safety offers training courses on CPR/first aid, office safety, and ergonomics. Health Center provides cost effective services including outpatient care for common illnesses and injuries, disease prevention, and health promotion. University employees can utilize the health center for a nominal charge. Health Education/Drug and Alcohol Center (HEDA) promotes health education and responsible lifestyle behaviors. This program offers education, prevention, and maintenance techniques through many disciplines. Open Activities are also available on campus such as use of the indoor and outdoor tracks, cardio and resistance training equipment, basketball and racquetball courts, and PAR course. |
