The Diversity Fund is a resource line in the Center for Diversity and Unity budget through the Shepherd Union, devoted to issues and needs relating to diversity and inclusion at Weber State University. The Diversity Fund is administrated by the Center for Diversity and Unity.
Who can get funding?
Funding is available for projects and programming that will increase the diversity of our campus community. It is intended that the Diversity Fund be spent in ways that will have the greatest potential for long-lasting positive effect on the Weber State University community, and in ways that bring different groups together.
How do I submit a proposal?
Each year, a general call will be out to the Weber State community for proposals to be submitted to the Diversity Fund Advisory Committee. This committee will review the proposals and make recommendations to the coordinator of the Center for Diversity and Unity, and the director of Shepherd Union for final award.
To request funding for events and initiatives to take place in Fall 2012 or Spring 2013, fill out the Grant Application and attach any appropriate supporting documents. Send the proposal to Adrienne Andrews, Coordinator of the Center of Diversity and Unity.
How often is funding awarded?
There are two funding cycles for the Diversity Fund, one in the fall and one in the spring. In the spring semester, a call for proposals for projects/events for the upcoming academic year is sent out to the Weber State University Community, and funding is allocated. A secondary call for proposals is sent out in the fall semester for projects/events for the upcoming spring semester.
