Dental Hygiene Program

Dental hygienists are important members of the dental health team. Dental hygienists use their knowledge and clinical skills to provide dental hygiene care for patients and communication skills to instruct patients on methods to improve and maintain their oral health.

In the dental office, the dentist and the dental hygienist work together to meet the oral health needs of each patient. Dental Hygienists are usually employed in general dental practices, specialty dental practices or in public health settings.
