The most important step to advance the excellence and capacity of personalized science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education at Weber State University is to construct a state-of-the-art science lab building in the heart of the WSU Ogden campus. Science buildings aren’t cheap, but the cost of not having adequate and safe facilities to prepare future science and mathematics workforce and educators is even steeper.
With a naming pledge from the Alan & Jeanne Hall Foundation and the David Hall family, the university is ready to bring the $63 million building project to the Utah State Legislature in 2014. We are encouraged by the response of state policymakers to support the university’s vision to create a world-class undergraduate science education center. Invest in the future of science and math workforce and teacher education.
