Paul Alan Cox, Ph.D, Board Chair
Dr. Paul Cox is an advocate of the value of a Weber State University education. As executive director of the Institute for Ethnomedicine in Jackson, Wyo., Dr. Cox is an exemplary scientist and researcher. His passion for conservation, education and scientific advancement is evident as he leads the work of the Science Advancement Board as its chair. His current ethnobotanical research is focused on neurodegenerative illness with the goal of discovering new therapies for ALS and Alzheimer’s disease.
Dr Cox received an honorary degree from WSU in December 2011 and was also a featured speaker at the National Council for Undergraduate Education (NCUR) 2012 held at WSU in April 2012.
