Welcome to my web site at Weber State University.  I have taught at Weber State since 1989.  I graduated from Weber State College in 1983 with Majors in French and Spanish and Minors in History and Communications.  After my studies, I attended the University of Utah for a year and then completed a study abroad semester in Lisieux, France.  I lived with a wonderful woman by the name of Madame Marcel Gourçon. She introduced me to the true French culture which resulted in my love for everything French!  During my stay in France, I decided that I wanted to be a professor of French so I returned to the University of Utah and completed a PhD in Comparative Literature with an emphasis in French.  I love to teach all levels of French and a variety of subjects, including French literature, business, culture and conversation. Since completing my PhD, I have attended three summer university programs in France and one in Montreal, Canada, specializing in French business and culture.  I received my Diplôme de français des affaires from the Chambre de Commerce et d'Industire de Paris in 2004.
