In 2011, the Utah Commission on Service and Volunteerism began an assessment process which identified a need for more training to prepare volunteer managers with the tools to support the diverse volunteers they manage. As a result of this, the Utah Commission on Service and Volunteerism has provided a series of grants which have allowed for organizations to help facilitate such trainings with non-profit organizations.
The Center for Community Engaged Learning has received one such grant and will be using those funds to provide the Non-Profit Administrator Academy. In these training sessions, topics that pertain to volunteer management will be discussed as viewed through the lens of administrators. Administrators of non-profit organizations play a key role in the volunteer experience and this academy will discuss how they can address volunteer management issues they may witness within their agencies.
These trainings will be starting on June 24th and will be held on alternating weeks until they conclude on September 2nd. Each meeting will last three hours with a lunch provided free of charge. All are invited to attend and to RSVP please complete the registration form. If you have any questions about the Non-Profit Administrator Academy please do not hesitate to contact our office firstname.lastname@example.org 801-626-7737.
