Outdoor Program Challenge Course (CC) Manager

The OP CC Manager assists the OP coordinator with operations and programming of the CC program and is responsible for the daily operations/programming of the CC. Duties include knowledge of challenge course operation and program facilitation, training/scheduling/supervising/evaluating challenge course facilitators, reviewing staff payroll, managing risk, remaining current on team dynamics principles, researching and proposing equipment/programming needs, and providing customer service to participants.

Outdoor Program Challenge Course Facilitator (CCF)

The CCF leads group initiatives on the OP Challenge Course. Duties include program preparation, setup, take down, risk management, conducting group orientation, and providing customer service to participants. This position also requires some knowledge of challenge course operation and facilitation.

Outdoor Program Climbing Wall Manager (CWM)

The CWM assists the OP coordinator with operations and programming of the climbing wall and is responsible for the daily operations/programming of the Weber Rocks Climbing Facility. Duties include instructing staff and participants in proper lead climbing technique and belay and tie-in technique, managing risk, reviewing staff payroll, cash handling transactions for gear rental and day passes, conducting and documenting wall maintenance and equipment inventories, and providing customer service to participants.

Outdoor Program Rental Manager (RM)

The RM assists the OP coordinator with operations of the OP Rental Center and is responsible for the daily operations of the Rental Center. Duties include training/scheduling/supervising/evaluating rental center employees, managing risk, cash handling system and rental database maintenance, equipment maintenance and inventories, reviewing staff payroll, and providing customer service to participants. Candidates must have a strong interest in outdoor recreation, experience working with outdoor equipment, and the ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly.

Outdoor Program Trip Leader (TL)

The TL instructs and leads participants in a variety of outdoor-related outings, clinics, or classes. Duties include knowledge and expertise in area of interest, knowing and adhering to OP course curriculums and OP Standards of Practice, managing risk, accountability for safety of participants/equipment/vehicles/other program resources, developing participant skill level in specific activity to enhance their recreational experience, providing appropriate care during course-related emergencies, providing customer service to participants, and other duties and specific course responsibilities as assigned.

Duties include creating promotional campaigns, designing promotional posters/flyers/visual materials, working with event sponsors, organizing promotional events, managing risk in marketing/promotional activities, and providing customer service to participants.
