Group Exercise Class Descriptions
Academic Cardio   This is an academic class that is big on variety and great on progression. As the semester goes the classes will progress in intensity and complexity. This class starts allowing drop in participation the second week of the semester.  You are welcome to drop in and participate but priority will be given to registered participants.

Butt and Abs   This class is a 30-45 minute class that targets butts and abs.  Come ready for a great work out.

Body Blast  An extreme full-body work-out designed to strengthen and tone the main muscle groups through the implementation of several types of equipment including dumbbells, resistance bands, and exercise balls.

Bootcamp  A tough army style work-out featuring drills and intervals designed to improve both your cardiovascular and muscular fitness.

Cardio & Core  A half-hour of the instructor’s choice of cardio followed by a half-hour of core strengthening exercises.


Hip Hop & Abs  Aerobics meets the dance floor in this intense, cardio-focused work-out that is perfect for anyone looking to increase the fun factor in their exercise program. Abdominals are added at the end to help sculpt your core muscles.

Multi Level Yoga  A fitness-oriented and user-friendly work-out that draws on several yoga styles including Ashtanga, Lyengar, and Kudilini Yoga and is designed for people at all fitness levels and levels of yoga experience.

Spin  A high-energy group exercise class that integrates music, camaraderie and visualization in a complete mind/body exercise program. Spinning uses specially designed Johnny G Spinner® stationary bikes, to deliver unparalleled fitness results.  Bring a towel and water-bottle to all spin classes!

Step and Abs  This class is a classic group exercise past time that uses a bench and risers to boost cardiovascular training,  increase leg muscle toning and core strengthening.  This is one way to enjoy moving to the beat of the music while you burn calories, boost your fitness level, and enjoy yourself.

Turbo Kick  The ultimate cardiovascular kickboxing challenge complete with intense intervals and easy to follow combinations that make each work-out feel like a party.

Power Yoga  A fitness-oriented and user-friendly work-out that draws on several yoga styles including Ashtanga, Lyengar, and Kudilini Yoga.  This class is designed for people who would like to increase strength and flexibility.  It is recommended that participants have experienced yoga before attending this class.

Zumba  A fusion of Latin and International Music and dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting , effective fitness system!  The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training using fitness interval training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning.
