Call For Proposals: Interdisciplinary Course Support

Announcement of Grants to Support New Interdisciplinary General Education Courses

The Telitha E. Lindquist College of Arts & Humanities seeks to support faculty proposals for new courses that follow the new General Education course guidelines. The first round of proposals are due by December 1, 2015. Please submit proposals to Joshua Nelson via email (joshuanelson3@weber.edu) or in person at the dean's office (BC 312).

Purpose

To provide funding to support the implementation and planning for new interdisciplinary General Education courses in the arts and humanities. 

Funding may be used for but is not limited to:

  • Course materials
    • Books
    • DVDs
    • Art supplies
  • Guest speaker
  • Software and apps
  • Online training
    • Webinar
  • Other…

Proposals must include the following:

1. A copy of the approved WSU course application
2. A clear delineation of responsibilities for the faculty involved
3. A detailed budget
 

Eligibility

All full- and part-time A&H faculty members are eligible.

Funding

Grants will be limited to $500 per Lindquist College faculty member involved in the development and teaching of the approved new interdisciplinary General Education course.

Application/Implementation Timeline

Approved funding will be transferred to departments for faculty to access. Funds should be used by the end of the first semester the class is taught.
