Using the Brand Online
Together, we build a stronger identity than if everyone does their own thing. This is particularly true on the weber.edu website, where being different can lead to our users getting lost and frustrated.
University Communications, in partnership with other departments and developers across campus, is beginning the process of redesigning and revamping weber.edu. To do it right, this process takes time. Please be patient, and most importantly, please participate with your insight, experience and suggestions while we are conducting research through surveys and focus groups at different stages of the project.
In the Meantime
When applying the WSU brand on your website, keep in mind three main points:
Make sure your information is up to date and correct.
People come to your site to find specific information or accomplish a task—make it as easy as possible for them.
Weber.edu is built primarily in the Site Manager content management system. Site Manager makes it easy for sites to be consistent with the overall WSU site in look and navigation, through the use of templates and standardized style sheets. A new version of Site Manager with improved features is launching in Fall 2013.
