PURPOSE

Weber State's Beta Alpha Psi, Theta Tau Chapter specifically focuses on providing students with opportunities to expand their knowledge and succeed in the accounting world. Our chapter holds weekly professional meetings where students and members are given the opportunity to hear from accounting professionals and interact with them in a comfortable environment. Our chapter also sponsors various recruiting, networking, service, and social activities with professionals within the community.

    An Introduction to BAP is held on the 2nd Tuesday of each semester at noon in Smith Lecture Hall (WB206). Applications will be available at this meeting or HERE

    Qualifications: Completed 3000 level accounting class; 3.0 overall and accounting GPA

    Requirements: $120 membership fee upon membership acceptance; 6-8 professional/2-4 service hours per semester; attendance at 1 social event per semester year.

  • JEFF DAVIS

    Davis enjoys working with students to help them develop knowledge, skills and understanding to succeed in their accounting and business careers. Davis is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). He has been a board member of the Utah chapter of ISACA for several years. He worked for several years as a staff auditor at Grant Thornton and continues to work with clients in governmental, health care and forensic accounting and consulting. 

  • LELAND CARNEY
    BAP president

    Leland is a Senior in the Accounting Program, graduating in Spring of 2023. After his graduation, he plans to enroll in Weber State University's MTAX programs and become a CPA. Leland's life outside of school consists of playing Dungeons & Dragons, watching movies, playing video games, and spending time with loved ones.
