Double Major or Minor in Technical Sales

The Automotive Technology Department has established a partnership with the Sales and Service Technology Department to offer a Double Major or a Minor in Technical Sales.

The classes listed below satisfy the requirements of a double major in Technical Sales.  Some of the classes will already be completed as part of the Automotive Technology degree requirements.  All of the classes are available online (with the exception of SST 3702 ++) as well as face-to-face classes.

Technical Sales Double Major Requirements:

  • SST 3803 (was 3153) Sales Engineering (3) (Prerequisite NTM 3090)
  • SST 3203 Customer Service Techniques (3)*
  • SST 3363 Contract Sales and Negotiation Techniques (3) (Prerequisite SST 1143)*
  • SST 3563 Principles of Supervision (3)*
  • SST 3903 Sales Presentation Strategies (3) (Prerequisite SST 1143, SST 3803, and NTM 3090)
  • SST 3702 Developing Team Leadership Skills (2) (Prerequisite SST 3563)*++

*This class is already a requirement for the Automotive Technology B.S. Degree - Field Service Operations emphasis.  Advanced Vehicle systems students will need to take two more SST classes for the double major.

++SST 3702 Developing Team Leadership Skills (2) (Prerequisite SST 3563) is not available online.  This class is three full days long and is typically taught on a Thursday-Saturday schedule three times per semester.
