The twenty-fourth annual Weber State University Automotive Contest (written portion) was held on Thursday, December 3, 2009, at 8:30 a.m. There were approximately 771 participants from 48 schools, from 4 states this year (Utah, Idaho, Nevada & Wyoming). The students took a 50 question test which covers six automotive ASE areas. The Skills/Hands-on portion of the contest will be held February 25, 2010.  Approximately 771 students took the written test at Weber State University, with another 174 taking a proctored test in locations outside a 200-mile radius of WSU.

The top scoring schools of the written contest were announced at the Union Ballroom. The top scoring move on to the hands-on competition on February 25, 2010. 
The school who sent the most students to the WSU Automotive Programs for Fall of 2009 was Layton High School, Layton, UT. Thank you Corey Spencer!
The following twenty-four schools qualified for the Skills/Hands-on portion of the contest which will be held on February 25, 2010. Two students will be selected by their teacher to compete for a set of tools, a one year tuition waiver scholarship from Weber State University, and the chance for their school to win a late model car.
