TE-217D - The Main Tool Storage Room | |||
|
The main tool storage room contains the special service tools and general tools used in our Chrysler CAP, General Motors ASEP, Toyota T-TEN, Collision Repair, and WSU ATEP and BS Degree programs. The tool room has a computerized inventory and bar-code system to track tool borrowing by students. Our shop foreman, James Reynolds, manages the tool room.
Chrysler CAP special service tools are stored and secured in this special tool organization system from Miller Tools.
Toyota T-TEN special service tools are stored and secured in this special tool organization system from SPX Tools.
The Toyota T-TEN program uses 4 Diagnostic Tester scan tools for diagnostic training, and 1 CAN interface module for late model CAN-based vehicles.
The DaimlerChrysler CAP program uses 2 StarSCAN scan tools for late model CAN-based vehicle diagnostic training, and 3 DRBIII scan tools for Non-CAN-based vehicles.
The General Motors ASEP program uses 7 Tech-II scan tools for diagnostic training, and 5 CANdi modules for late model CAN-based vehicles.
Our program supports Hybrid vehicle training which required special battery chargers to keep the battery charge level correct while being used in lab.
All of our air-conditioning training programs use the proper recovery and recharging equipment as required by EPA atandards. The General Motors ASEP program uses a sophisticated electrical wire and terminal repair procedure. The Toyota, and Chrysler programs use similar wire repair procedures. Our automotive program has all of the special tools required to train our students in these procedures.
