Scholarships for Automotive Service Technology 2-Year A.A.S. Students 

IMPORTANT: All non-resident automotive service technology A.A.S. degree students qualify for a special reduced tuition package.  Be sure to declare your major as one of the automotive programs and register for automotive classes to qualify.  All out-of-state students must reside in Utah for one year to be considered as resident and receive in-state tuition rates.  For more information call 801-626-6579

Resident and non-resident automotive scholarship applications are being accepted for fall semester 2009.  Contact your program coordinator for more information.  

NOTICE: The WSU traditional scholarship application "First Priority" deadline is January 11, 2010 for the 2010-2011 school year.  If you apply after January 11, there may still be scholarships available.  See the WSU scholarship office website for more information.

There are several scholarships available to all WSU Automotive Technology students.  Most scholarships are available on a first-come/serve basis; apply early.

  • NEW! Speciality Equipment Market Association (SEMA) scholarship Apply online at http://www.sema.org/scholarships before April 1, 2009.
  • ACDelco Scholarship ($1000.00) - For High School graduates to help with their first year college experience.  Download Application.  Application is due no later than March 31, 2009
  • Automotive Service Industry Scholarship.  Download the Application.  Application deadline is August 14, 2009.
  • Weber Edge Scholarship - http://weber.edu/weberedge
  • Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium (GAAS) Scholarship Fund ($1000.00). Visit www.automotivescholarships.com to obtain more information and to download a scholarship application. Application is due no later than March 31, 2009.
  • Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) scholarship. Download the WUE Application. Application is due no later than April 1, 2009.  
  • Toyota T-TEN students only - Toyota Dealer's Scholarship - The deadline for applications is July 1, 2009.
  • Other Automotive Scholarships

Once any student receives a scholarship through WSU (not Global Aftermarket or SEMA) they need to fill out an acceptance form.  To do this they log on to their Wildcat Account.  Click on the tab at the top that says "Fall 2009," then click on "Scholarships," then "My Award Info," then "Accept...."

Scholarships for Automotive Technology 4-Year Bachelor's Degree Students

  • Ford TAC Automotive Group $1000 scholarship.  Application due April 17, 2009 by noon.
  • Toyota Scholars Program. (4) $1500.00 scholarships are available. (Application Toyota Scholarship 2009-2010.pdf is due no later than October 16, 2009)  To qualify you must be a: 
    • Junior year full-time student with grade point average of 3.3 or better
    • Automotive Technology Major
    • U.S. citizens or permanent resident of the United States

Financial Aid

Most financial aid is available on a first-come/serve basis; apply early.

  • Federal Financial Aid application "First Priority" deadline is March 1, 2009 for the 2009-2010 school year.  If you apply after March 1, there may still be financial aid available.  See the WSU financial aid website for more information.
