Weber State University Mission Statement
The History and context section provides a picture of Weber State as an institution. It includes links to a profile of the students we serve.
The Weber State Mission is our statement of the purpose of the university and expresses the authority and expectations set by the Board of Regents. The Mission Core Themes model defines mission-related objectives and achievement indicators and serves as the reference for anyone who wants to know about how we interpret our mission and how success is being measured. The NWCCU accreditation process provides cyclical peer review and outside perspective using this self-defined model of objectives and achievement relative to mission.
The Weber State Vision and Core Values define what kind of institution we aspires to relative to other universities. Our vision extends from our Traditions and Institutional Authority and is our proclamation of how we intend to achieve greatness among universities. Our core values set a standard for personal and interpersonal behaviors that shape the culture of Weber State.
Each Division Vice President maintains a Division Plan, which include priority objectives and initiatives intended to improve the university.
All of the planning documents are generated through the university's Comprehensive Planning Process, a system of planning intended to move the university closer to the ideas expressed in these planning documents.
