WSU Couples Find Healing in Humor
Standard Examiner - August 7, 2013

ROY — A dozen or so couples walked into a classroom at Weber State West Center.
If it sounds a bit like the set up for a joke, it’s not. It was actually the set up for hundreds of jokes and improvised comedy bits at last Friday’s WSU date night. The event was aimed at couples who wanted to have fun while they learned about the healing power humor can have in a relationship.

Workshops at West

The Signpost - June 23, 2011

The Weber State University West Center in Roy is hidden among a restaurant called Naturally Chinese, a hair salon called Attitudes, and a Domino’s Pizza. Many students don’t know that it’s even there, let alone all of the services it offers.

A novel idea: Merging two lives together

The Signpost - February 21, 2010

Combining the novels Moby Dick and A Tale of Two Cities into a single, cohesive novel would be extremely difficult. According to Kari Moulding, a certified social worker, merging two completely different lives in a functional relationship is similar to the combining of two books, and is just as difficult.

Moulding spoke to a group of Weber State University students and community members at WSUs West Center. She explained that everyone has a compilation of experiences and emotions that create a life story.  Every person has their own unique novel, Moulding said. No two novels are completely the same. These differences between novels can present challenges in our relationships.
