Lori Adler, Veterans Upward Bound office manager, said there was an overwhelming response this year, with more than 300 shoeboxes donated from campus organizations, community groups and other individuals. With the generous donations, Veterans Upward Bound was able to provide a shoebox for each resident in the Homeless Veterans Fellowship as well as the Veterans Nursing Home, both in Ogden, and still had more boxes they were able to donate to Salt Lake City area homeless veterans shelters.
