Northern Utah Marriage Conference Returns to WSU

OGDEN, Utah – The "Governor's Northern Utah Marriage Celebration" will be held Nov. 14 at Weber State University. Hundreds of couples are expected for an evening of education, entertainment and fun.

Dr. Jeffrey H. Larson, author of "The Great Marriage Tune-up Book," will be the keynote speaker for the event. Entertainment will be provided by the vocal group "Voice Male," back by popular demand.

The conference offers 23 different workshops presented by marriage and family professionals from Northern Utah. The event begins at 3 p.m. with a choice of pre-conference workshops on enhancing marriage, parenting, and enjoying time together.

The main conference at 6 p.m. offers workshops on marital skills, blended families, conveying love, creating marital magic, recipes for love, listening, managing expectations and "sizzlin' secrets."

Sponsors of the event include WSU, Utah State University, USU Extension Services and the Governor's Initiative on Families Today (GIFT).
