Pair to Discuss New Book on Utah Radicalism

OGDEN, Utah – John McCormick, dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Salt Lake Community College, and John Sillito, WSU professor emeritus, will discuss their new book, “A History of Utah Radicalism: Startling, Socialist and Decidedly Revolutionary,” on Nov. 17 at 1:30 p.m. in the Stewart Library Hetzel-Hoellein Room.

The presentation is free to the public.

The book explores Utah radicalism since the late 19th century, including the strength of Utah’s Socialist Party, which elected more than 100 members into office between 1900 and 1920.
