Chinese Delegation Promotes Cultural Awareness

OGDEN, Utah – The public is invited to an exhibit featuring artwork from two Chinese artists, which will be on display at Weber State University’s Hurst Center for Lifelong Learning Dumke Legacy Hall, Nov. 10-12 from noon-6 p.m.

A grand opening reception with refreshments will take place Nov.10 from 6:30-9 p.m. The artists, Chao Yu Kui and Zang Jian Min, will be there to meet with the campus community and speak informally about their work.

The exhibit is one of the events scheduled, as WSU President Ann Millner and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Alan Hall, welcome representatives from the Shanghai Oriental Chinese Education Development Center (SOCEDC), November 10-12.

Their visit is an effort to increase Chinese relations and build educational and business opportunities.

The community is also invited to a lecture, “Chinese Business and Culture,” by  Jianhong Sheng"Jenny" Supervisor of SOCEDC and Secretary General of the Shanghai Social Sciences Association Oriental Rostrum Office on Nov. 12 from noon-1:30 p.m in the Wattis Business Building Rooms 206/207.
