SALT LAKE CITY -The Salt Lake City Chapter of the Educational Society of Resource Management (APICS) will host a seminar featuring Eliyahu Goldratt, renowned author and business leader, on Oct. 20 at the Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City.
The all-day seminar is a rare opportunity to hear Goldratt speak, as he seldom does public presentations. Goldratt will educate participants on The Theory of Constraints, a concept that helps businesses determine how to monitor change. He has written several books, including the bestseller "The Goal," which addresses the overall framework of his theory. He is also the founder of the Avraham Y. Goldratt Institute, the world's largest firm that offers consulting and implementation services for constraint-based management solutions.
Registration for APICS members is $369, and $419 for non-members. Companies sending four or more people can register for $269. Students may contact Amy Jerabek at 801-733-4479 to register for a discounted fee of $99.
Weber State University offers APICS courses on campus and online to students throughout the Wasatch Front. For more information, visit www.apicsutah.org.
