State Climatologist to Speak about ‘Utah’s Water Future’

OGDEN, Utah - Utah has experienced below average snowfall and precipitation this year — a critical issue in a desert state.

Weber State University will host Utah’s state climatologist, Robert Gillies, Oct. 10 at 12:30 p.m. in the Shepherd Union Room 404. He will present “Utah’s Water Future? The Symphony that is Utah’s Climate.”Gillies will examine the complexities of Utah’s climate, water and future.

The event is free, and the public is invited. The lecture, sponsored by WSU’s Environmental Issues Committee, is part of the year-long Water Works series.
