Stoker will discuss his book “The Grand Design: Strategy and the U.S. Civil War,” at 6 p.m. in the Lindquist Alumni Center. Stoker’s book focuses on the differences in Southern and Union strategies, tactics and operations.
Stoker, who has taught at several universities, has been at the U.S. Naval War College in Monterey, Calif., since 1999. He has written and edited numerous books and articles pertaining to military history.
