The Grocery Guru's penny-pinching presentation, which is open to all WSU students and community members, will show people how to save 50 to 70 percent on groceries. The Grocery Guru's visit is part of a personal finance course taught by WSU finance professor Kyle Mattson. In the course students learn about financing, avoiding debt and creating budgets.
"What my students like is that he shows them how to buy $100 of groceries for $30. Our students are at a place in their lives where this is a significant savings," Mattson said. Students will also have the opportunity to follow the Grocery Guru through a store.
