Ribbon Campaign Aims to Stop Violence Against Women

OGDEN, Utah – Weber State University’s Services for Women Students wants everyone to pledge their commitment to stopping violence against women by wearing white ribbons in October.

In honor of October being Domestic Violence Awareness month, Services for Women Students is launching a White Ribbon Campaign.

The goal is to have members of the community show their support for ending violence against women by wearing white ribbons throughout the month and making a personal pledge to take action to stop violence against women.

White ribbons and pledge cards will be available on Tuesday (Oct. 1) and Wednesday (Oct. 2) at Services for Women Students, Non-Traditional Students Center, Career Services, Academic Advisement, information desks and other student service departments. They will also be available from 8 a.m. – noon both days, at tables in the Social Science Building, and by the Stewart Bell Tower.

For more information about the campaign, or on how to get a ribbon, contact Services for Women Students at 626-6090.
