OGDEN, Utah – The Dr. Ezekiel R. Dumke College of Health Professions at Weber State University will hold an open house for the campus and community on Oct. 3 from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Marriott Allied Health Building on the Ogden campus.
The free event is an opportunity for the public to tour the state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories and meet the dedicated faculty and staff in the Dumke College, including Dr. Yasmen Simonian, the newly appointed dean of the college.
Tours will include visits to the Dumke Interdisciplinary Simulation Lab, where students learn to treat patients by attending to sophisticated manikins that can replicate a variety of symptoms and medical anomalies. Visitors also will have a chance to see demonstrations in the dental clinic and other departments’ simulation laboratories housed in the facility. Light refreshments will be served.
