Businesses Invited to Take Part in Wildcat Block Party

OGDEN, Utah – Area businesses are invited to be a part of Weber State University’s Eighth Annual Wildcat Block Party, scheduled for Aug. 31.

The block party event is designed to welcome students back to school and celebrate the kickoff of the Wildcats’ fall sports season with a day full of activities and events for the whole family to enjoy. Academic departments, programs and student services will host information booths, holding contests and giving away prizes.

“Wildcat Wipeout” is the theme of this year’s event that is scheduled to run from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Local businesses are welcome to set up tables at the event and be a part of the festivities. For more information, call 801-626-7850. To rent a table at the block party, visit weber.edu/blockparty/registrationform.html and choose “vendor” on the drop-down menu.

For the first time this year, the Block Party will feature “A Taste of the Town: Wildcat Style.” For $5 students will be able to enjoy one sample from a number of different local restaurants. To participate or for more information, contact Melissa Bamfo, 801-626-6348 or melissabamfo@weber.edu.

Vendor tables are $250 each and include a parking pass for the day. A portion of the vendor fees will go toward student scholarships. Block Party registration deadline is Aug. 27 at 5 p.m.
