Campus Gallery Seeking Art of Shepherd Union

June 3, 2011

OGDEN, Utah – The Shepherd Union Gallery is asking the public for assistance with an upcoming exhibit. In conjunction with the Shepherd Union Building’s 50th anniversary later this year, organizers are looking for historical sketches and photographs of the structure spanning its history.

“We are hoping that former Weber State art students may have made sketches or taken photographs of the union at various times during the last five decades, either as formal assignments or as personal projects,” said Nikki Nicholas, gallery coordinator.

Selected works will be displayed as part of the gallery’s 50-year retrospective of the Shepherd Union – the opening exhibit of the 2011-2012 season.

The show is scheduled to run from late August through October. Anyone who has historical art of the union is encouraged to contact Nicholas at 801-626-7850.
