OGDEN, Utah – The International Society for Teacher Education will present “Global Voices on Education,” a free public symposium hosted by Weber State University.
The seminar will feature prominent educators from Australia, Bhutan, Botswana, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Scotland, Spain and Taiwan, addressing a variety of issues and concerns facing education in their respective countries.
The free event will be held June 3 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Shepherd Union Ballroom and Wildcat Theater. The panel discussion offers an opportunity for local educators and the public to hear about challenges in education from around the globe. The forum will include a question and answer session for the audience to interact with panelists and other ISFTE delegates. Ken Verdoia of KUED will moderate the panel.
The symposium is a kick-off event for the International Seminar for Teacher Education-2009 Rocky Mountain Rendezvous conference, which will take place June 3-8 at WSU’s Ogden campus. Coincidentally, WSU teacher education professor Forrest Crawford will be confirmed to the post of ISFTE Secretary-General during this year’s seminar.
