WSU Hosts 5K Run/Walk to Increase Smiles

OGDEN, Utah – Weber State University will host the 5th Annual "Miles for Smiles" 5K run/walk on April 30.

Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. with the race set to start at 9 a.m. from the Swenson Gymnasium lower parking lot. The cost to compete is $15 for those who pre-register by April 26 and $20 the day of the race. All registered participants will receive a t-shirt and raffle ticket. To pre-register, visit Peak Performance Fitness Gear at 5739 S. Harrison Blvd. in South Ogden.

All proceeds go to Operation Smile to help change the lives of children with cleft palates and facial deformities.

The race is sponsored by WSU's chapter of Operation Smile. Operation Smile is a private, not-for-profit volunteer medical services organization providing reconstructive surgery and related health care to indigent children around the world. Since 1982, Operation Smile volunteers have helped to repair childhood facial deformities for more than 90,000 children and young adults in 25 developing countries and the United States.
