WSU Recognized For Highest ROI Among Utah Public Institutions

OGDEN, Utah – Weber State University has once again been recognized as the No. 1 public institution in Utah for return on investment (ROI), a recent report shows.

PayScale, a salary data collection and comparison website, released the first-place ranking March 26 as part of its 2014 College ROI Report. The report states that WSU has a 20-year net ROI of $381,300. The number represents the amount of money WSU students will make over 20 years minus the cost of attending the university. WSU’s first-place ranking applies when comparing either in-state or out-of-state tuition among Utah institutions.

“This ranking is further evidence that Weber State University provides a quality education at a great value,” said Michael Vaughan, WSU provost. “Weber State students can rest assured that their education will pay dividends, not only in well-established knowledge, but in actual earnings.”

In the summer of 2013, Affordable Colleges Online also ranked WSU as first among state public institutions for ROI and 17th in the nation on its list of low-cost colleges with graduates who earn high starting salaries.

WSU’s 2013-2014 resident graduate tuition and fees equal $4,991 per year, one of the lowest rates among Utah’s public and private universities.
