Panel to Examine Food Industry’s Environmental Impact
OGDEN, Utah -- WSU’s Environmental Issues committee will present a panel discussion addressing “The Environmental Impact of the Food Industry,” at noon, March 24 in the Shepherd Union Wildcat Theater.
The panel will include: Patricia Cost, assistant health professor, Pat Ford, co-owner of the Beehive Cheese Company; Michele Skopec, assistant zoology professor; Jennifer Turley, associate nutrition professor; and Claire Uno, executive director of Wasatch Community Gardens.
The panelists will address the health and environmental impact of herbicides, pesticides, animal husbandry and sustainable food sources.
